Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced today that the president has made the following nomination:
Marine Corps Col. John G. Baker for appointment to the rank of brigadier general and for assignment as the chief defense counsel for Military Commissions. Baker is currently serving as deputy director, judge advocate division, Headquarters Marine Corps, Washington, District of Columbia.
